What the hell is going on?

The Dallas Mavericks recently made what could be one of the dumbest trades in NBA history. To summarize, they sent Luka Dončić to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a future first-round pick.

Why is this so dumb? Well, because Dončić is a generational talent and was effectively the cornerstone of the Mavericks’ recent success. And you’re gonna throw all that away for who? The famously injury-prone Davis? What do you *mean*?

This feeling is shared by pretty much everyone who’s seen the decision, as evidenced by the many recorded reactions people had to its announcement.
